I did a solo trip to Cape Town to visit my family this year, since the boys are super busy with school stuff and the Christmas break would have been too short to bring everyone over.

After staying at my parents place in Kleinmond on the first night, we stayed in the Hemel en Aarde valley near Hermanus at a wonderful place called High Season Farm for a few days. I was able to spend some quality time with my mom and dad. Danie, Jannie and Marna came and stayed over for a night and Marna beat us all at bananagrams. I rented a mountain bike and rode the blue route in the 'Hemel en Aarde' valley.

For the next part of the journey, I stayed with Danie at his place in Scarborough, a quaint little beach town in the 'Deep South'. We hiked, cooked, and had a great time just chatting and catching up. I met up with a few college friends (Nico, Johann, and Gawie) for a braai at Nico's place in Paarl.

Danie also treated me to an incredible meal at Chef's Warehouse in Beau Constantia.

The family convened in Camps Bay at a beautiful house that Danie booked for us for 4 days (except Nerina, who had to work 😢).
