Daniel really practiced hard for this one. I think he did a great job.
Took the boys rollerblading in Irvine. Reminded me of roller skating in Wiesenhof in South Africa when I was little. Colin was such a trooper. He just kept on going.
Daniel was in a school play last night. It was a great show. This was part of the after school program that Maureen runs for the school. Bruce, Danny, Luc and Kathy also joined us for the concert.
Daniel and Jacob had to create a project for school, and we made this little video to show their journey.
Daniel and Colin went to Rockzilla for a birthday party. Daniel asked me to start timing him climbing up this particular wall. He finally did it in 6.06s!
Daniel’s violin recital in Yountville. We had a great evening, stopping first at Bistro Jeanty for a fancy dinner. The kids had their famous tomato soup with Shirley Temples.
A few days skiing at Northstar – heavy snow! It was very wet, but we still had some good fun on the slopes.
Maureen took this wonderful timelapse video with her iPad mini propped up on the balcony of our rental in Siesta Key. Love how the colors light up the clouds as the sun sets.
Daniel and my duet at his violin recital. We played “My Grandfather’s Clock”. It was a lot of fun rehearsing and performing with Daniel. Here are our practice sessions.
Daniel’s violin practice. I wanted to try out the video capture from the Sony RX1 camera. It was not perfectly focused, and it was shot mostly with a 5.6 aperture. Will try some shallower DoF next time.
